Triglav Lakes Valley
It used to be named The Valley of the Seven Lakes. The number of the lakes is much higher, although some of the lakes are very small. The alpine valley is located between Bohinj and Trenta. The lakes came into existence as a result of water accumulation in the basins containing watertight sediments during heavy rain. Magnificent natural lakes in the middle of the karst environment are located at an altitude between 1300 m and 2000 m.
