Snežna Jama Cave (Snow Cave) on the Arta Plateau
The cave has a very diverse geological history. It is, according to its formation, one of the oldest karst caves in Slovenia. It is also the cave with the highest altitude in Slovenia, with its entrance located at 1500 m above sea level. Moreover, the bones of a cave bear were found here. The cave is nowadays open to visitors.
