Protected Areas in the Trnovo Forest

The Trnovo forest is a karst plateau with altitudes reaching from 1000 to 1400 m. Mostly covered by forests, it magnificently demonstrates the transition of different vegetation belts. The park offers natural sights such as: Padana Ice Cave, the Smrečje frost hollow, the Smrekova draga gorge and other precious sights created by mother nature.
