Polhograjska Gora Hill and Daphne Blagayana

Above the town of Polhov Gradec rises a hill called Polhograjska Gora with the church of St. Lawrence located on the top. The hill, with the view on the Alps, makes a great Sunday-trip-destination. It is also famous for the flower called Daphne Blagayana or The Royal Flower. This species of plant was first discovered exactly on this hill. It was named after the Saxon king, Frederick Augustus II, who paid the visit to our country.
