Pokljuka

Pokljuka is one the most famous Slovenian mountain plateaus. It organises the worldwide known competitions in biathlon. The plateau is mostly grown with forest. The most interesting is a peat swamp Šijec, which carries a significant ecological meaning and offers shelter to many animals and plants.
