Notranjska Regional Park
The Notranjska Regional Park with its 22.810 ha of land is the second largest natural park in Slovenia. It was founded in 2002. Today, the park includes sights such as: the intermittent Cerkniško jezero lake - the largest lake in Slovenia, the Rakov Škocjan area, the Križna jama cave, Iška zala and many more. Moreover, the park is home to numerous animal and plant species which can be found nowhere else in the world.
