Lahinja Landscape Park
Although smaller in scale, the park still covers more than 260 ha of territory. The larger part of the area is used for farming, the remaining 80 ha of the park consists of woods, marshlands and wet meadows. Nerajske Luge and Lahinjske Luge are marshland areas. The later is the source area of the Lahinja river. The park is a part of the special Bela Krajina karst which has created many interesting natural formations. It is also an archaeological site, as it was once the place of a prehistoric settlement. Another interesting sight is the cave Zjot.
