Kucelj Mountain at the Edge of Čaven
The Vipava valley lies at the foot of the mountain plateau called Trnovski gozd. Its edge is called Čaven and its peak, called Kucelj, is located at an altitude of 1237 m. Kucelj is a very grassy peak, rich with botanic attractions. It is also the home of the protected flower species called 'planika' or edelweiss. The access is possible from the lodging house of A. Bavčer.
