Krka
The river, also called The Green Beauty or The Beauty of the Dolenjska Region, is 93 km long and belongs among the longest rivers in Slovenia that run entirely on the Slovenian ground. The biggest city on the river Krka is Novo Mesto. The river is famous for depositing travertine in its river bed, and for the island with the castle Otočec located on it. The river also attracts numerous recreational fishermen.
