Krakovo Forest
7000 ha of the Krakovo forest lies in the area north to the Krka river, between Novo Mesto and Brežice. 40 ha of the forest has remained intact and is protected as a natural reserve. Some of the trees in the forest are up to 40 m high. The forest is home to rich fauna and flora.
