Kozjansko Regional Park
Previously called the Trebec Memorial Park (named after Tito’s mother), the park is located in the eastern part of Slovenia where the hill-country turns to the lowlands area. Especially notable are the swift changes of the ground processing, which is why diversity is the main feature of the park. It is the home of various animal and plant species and even boasts a rich cultural heritage. Many archaeological site prove that this area was settled already in the prehistoric times. Another point of interest is the Javeršek homestead.
