Huda Luknja Cave

Huda Luknja Cave

In the vicinity of Velenje stands the hill called Tisnik, which holds about ten karst caves. At one point in the past, the Huda luknja cave or the Pearl of Štajerska, as it is called, allegedly provided sheltered for a gang of robbers. Supposedly, they died there when the level of the water in the caves had risen. A legend tells that the leader of the gang still resides in the cave and guards his treasure.
