Dragonja
The largest river on the flysch ground in Slovenia- the Dragonja river- and its valley are rich with cultural and natural attractions. The river belongs to the group of swifts, and therefore contains several small waterfalls. The river does not run through settlements, which is the reason for its clear water. The lenght of the river is 29 km. It runs into the Adriatic sea in the bay of Sečovlje, where the Sečovlje saltpans are located.
