Velika Nedelja Castle
The area and the castle were named after an important battle that took place on Easter day in 1199. The castle was built in the 13th century, its main attractions are the chapel, the ethnological collection and the historical exhibition entitled Velika Nedelja through Centuries. The collection comprises more than 900 artefacts. The chapel is known for the world famous statues of St. Barbara and St. Catherine dating back to 1410.
