Stična Monastery
The monastery is the abbey of the Cisterian order. It was founded in the 12th century by the Patriarch of Aquilea Peregrin I, and is nowadays the oldest preserved monastery in Slovenia. It houses the Slovene Religious Museum which is responsible for the sacral heritage documentation of the entire Slovenia. The monastery shop sells products made by the friar and herbalist Simon Ašič.
