Šrajbarski turn Castle, Leskovec

The castle originates from the 15th century and is a unique specimen of a centrally designed defence building with the corner towers from the 16th century. The castle's owner was, amongst others, also the famous Slovene historian, geographer and polyhistorian, Janez Valvasor. The castle was taken over and pillaged during the peasant revolt in 1515. There is also the monument erected to the memory of the great Slovenian botanist, Alfonz Pavlin.
