Sevnica Castle
The Sevnica castle (Liechtenwald) is located on a hill above Sevnica, and was first documented in the 14th century as Castellum Liehtenwalde. The castle houses the outbuilding of the Posavje Museum, and includes the museum of the Sevnica history, the gallery of decorative art of Ivan Razboršek, the school museum presenting an old classroom, the fire-fighting museum, the exiles exhibition, the permanent exhibition of the academic painter Alojz Konc, the wedding and the conference hall, the tower with the Baroque frescoes of four seasons. The castle is being temporarily renovated.
