Sergej Mašer Maritime Museum in Piran
The museum is seated in the Classicist Gabrielli palace located next to the Piran harbour. It houses the archaeological collection tracing seafaring routes and sea trade from prehistory to the Middle Ages. In addition, the museum covers almost every aspect of maritime activity. Other museum venues: the Saltworks Museum in Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, the ethnological collection in the Tona house in Sv. Peter, the collection of ship models and the Izola Street Museum.
