Ptuj
The city of Ptuj is located in the middle of the area called Ptujsko polje at the hills named Slovenske gorice. The town was granted the city rights in the year 977, which makes it the oldest city in Slovenia and one of the most important cities in Europe. With its rich cultural heritage, the city has earned the status of a Museum Town.
