Ormož Castle
The Ormož castle was built in the 13th century by Friderik of Ptuj. It was an important fort on the border with Hungary. The wall paintings from the period of Classicism are extremely interesting and rank at the top of the Classicist art in Slovenia. The castle also includes the historical exhibition entitled 'Modern Ormož Developed from Tradition', the art gallery, the knights' hall and the vine shop. There is a wonderful park in front of the castle, which is considered one of the most beautiful parks on our ground.
