Napoleon Bridge
The Napoleon bridge crosses the river Nadiža near the town called Kobarid. The wooden structure had been located on the same spot in the 17th century until it was demolished by the Venetians. The new bridge was built of stone and was given its name after Napoleon when he marched over it during his conquest battles. The bridge also played an important role during both World Wars. To commemorate those events, two monuments have been placed beside the bridge.
