Nace's House in Puštal at Škofja Loka
The house was built in the 15th century, its outline, as we know it today, is of the Baroque origin. This is one of the most beautifully preserved houses of the Slovenian architectural heritage and is listed as a cultural monument of national importance. Particularly interesting are two black kitchens, the first Slovene “pečnica” decorated with a secular motive and several other ethnologically important artefacts. This is the birth house of Polde Polenec, Slovenia's first known director and opera singer and Anton Polenec, a renowned biologist. By making preliminary arrangements, it is possible to order the specialities made in the black kitchen.
