Coal-mining Museum in Velenje
In order to reach the underground coal-mining museum, visitors have to descend 160 m above ground by a 120 years old elevator. The tourist tour consists of two parts. The first part includes the elevator ride, the presentation of coal, coalminer’s lunch and ride on the transport line and underground railway. The second part enables the viewing of the permanent collection about the development of the Slovenian coal mining. Access for handicapped visitors on wheelchairs is enabled.
