Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Koper
The origins of the cathedral are Romanesque and date from the 12th century. The cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was remodeled in the 18th century by the architect G. Massari. The front of the cathedral is built in the Renaissance and Gothic style. Next to it stands a rotunda; the baptistery of the Carmelic Mother of God.
