Bogenšperk Castle
Bogenšperk castle was built in the Renaissance. It survived the earthquake in 1533 and was later on rebuilt. The castle was the home of the great Slovene polyhistorian Janez Vajkard Valvasor, the author of the book 'Slava vojvodine Kranjske' from the 17th century. The book is also displayed on view in the museum inside the castle. Also interesting is Valvasor's working room. The museum includes the collections from the fields of witchcraft and hunting, and also geodetic and geological collections. What the visitors might find the most interesting, is the copper printing office, also located in the castle.
