Basilica of the Virgin Mary with the Chapel of St. Vitus, Brezje
The church is located in the beautiful village of Brezje in the Gorenjska region. The basilica with the chapel of St. Vitus is mainly known for the painting of St. Mary. Miracles started happening in front of the painting in the 19th century, which is why the church became a well known pilgrimage centre. In the year 1988, the Pope conferred the honorary title of basilica upon the church of Brezje.
