Ski center Cerkno
Where the region of Gorenjska is ending up and where the region of Primorska is beginning, there is Cerkno Ski Centre ( 1291m above sea level). Technically the most modern ski resort in Slovenia, known and promoted as family ski resort (two six-seater chair lifts, two four-seater chair lifts, two double chair lifts, two T-bar lifts), 70 ha of skiing area, 18 km well maintained ski trails, 100% covered with articifial snow when necessary, 5 km cross country tracks, snowboarding is allowed, sleigh track, ski kindergarten including children animations, special lift for children (conveyor lift), ski and snowboard school, organization of ski competitions, skiing equipment rental and service, self-service restaurant at the top of the skiing centre including six luxurious apartments.
