Family guest-house Mesec is placed on the west side of Vrhnika on the height 620m (2.034,12 ft) above see level. It is located in the small village `Jerinov grič` with beautiful nature environment, fresh air and many nice places with a view on Vrhnika, Ljubljana, Logatec and the entire hill chain of Polhov gradec and Alps of Kamnik. Restaurant has a tradition with witch Franc And Ivana Mesec have started. In the year 1938 they built a house, but the tablespoon didn`t gave them peace and thay started with pouring droplets of good wine and with serving good domestic food. This is the tradition that is continued from that day foward. Our kitchen is known by chickens, hams, many sorts of roast meet, venison, piglets and many other specialties. Because of the farm that we run, most of the food is home made as well as vegetables. Our chef Majda is knon by her fabulous deserts as `gibanica` (moving cake), all sorts of strudels, `potica` (cake consisting of sheet of pastry spread with a rich filling and rolled up), dumpling and cakes. We except groups to 80 persons for occasions as excursions, weddings, anniversaries, for which we prepare fabulous luncheons or dinners. We also serve many sorts of quality wine from all kind of acknowledged producers. Live music can be played on precedent order.
